Center for Genome Innovation – Training Fellowship Application (2016)

The Center for Genome Innovation’s mission is to advance the genomics work being done within the UCONN research community through access to state-of-the-art instrumentation as well as training on current workflows and protocols. Next Generation sequencing is a widely used genomics tool with a rapidly growing application portfolio. Frequently offering NGS workshops through the CGI gives all students, staff and faculty an opportunity to learn about this valuable research tool hands-on!

For the Winter Intersession 2016, the CGI will be awarding up to 4, $500 CGI Training Fellowships for the NGS workshops being offered to qualified students to offset the cost of training. Trainee fellowship recipients will receive a 50% reduction in workshop fee towards one workshop.

Qualifications:

1. Applicants must be currently enrolled at any of the University of Connecticut campuses as an undergraduate or graduate student.
2. Applicants must be actively participating in a research program.
3. Must be enrolled in at least one workshop.
